The Bern University of Applied Sciences BFH offers R+D for companies in addition to training and further education. In 3D printing/manufacturing, the BFH is represented by the Institute for Applied Laser, Photonics and Surface Technologies ALPS and the Institute for Printing Technologies.

The BFH offers not only education and training with 30 Bachelor's and 22 Master's degree programmes as well as continuing education courses, but also application- and market-oriented research services for companies and public institutions. The range of cooperation possibilities is extensive and offers solutions for a wide variety of technical and interdisciplinary topics. In addition to applied research and development, the BFH offers a wide range of services, from contract research and analyses or the use of research infrastructure to comprehensive studies.
