3T RPD’s strategy is to be the first choice supplier of metal and plastic components manufactured using Additive Manufacturing (AM) to industries including Aerospace/Space, Defence, Automotive, Motorsport/F1, Medical and Industrial. They manufacture quality production quantity parts for end usage alongside one-off parts or prototypes in a range of metal alloys and plastics.
Metal AM is a revolutionary technology that produces 99.99% dense parts directly from 3D CAD data using the powder bed fusion process known as Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS). It has the ability to manufacture complex parts whilst optimising the shape and reducing lead time. Offering the whole process chain in-house reduces costs, ensuring total quality and efficiency.
Our in-house finishing facility can provide:-

•          Support removal

•          Heat treatment

•          Multi-Axis Machining

•          Polishing

•          Abrasive blasting

•          Hand finishing

•          Super finishing
Plastic AM produces parts suitable for both production applications and Rapid Prototyping using Selective Laser Sintering (SLS). It can provide true end-use production components, high accuracy models and one-off prototypes for design approval or live testing. AM will save you tooling costs and lead time, replacing conventional manufacturing in many applications.

Our fully equipped finishing workshop can provide:-

•       Colouring

•       Painting

•       Plating

•       Vibro smoothed parts

•       Assembly of multiple parts

•       Fully finished display models

NPI - We work with our customers through the stages of product development to ensure their parts are designed to get the most out of the Additive Manufacturing process. NPI is managed by our dedicated project management team which, in addition to their own extensive experience, can call upon competencies and skills from throughout the organisation.

R&D/Quality - With research and development being at the forefront of our business, we build parts with the best surface finish and mechanical properties that these technologies can provide, in the shortest lead-times possible. We do this whilst pursuing the highest standards of excellence in our customer service and delivery. This is recognised by the quality standards that we have been awarded, and we are the first AM company in the UK to hold AS 9100 Rev D for the production of metal parts using Additive Manufacturing (AM), ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2012 Medical Devices.
